Minister: UAC can become part of Rostec after 2017

MOSCOW, Mar 21 (PRIME) -- United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) may be integrated into state industrial holding Rostec but only after 2017, Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov told reporters on Tuesday.

“We do not rule out such decisions because there is a trend, there is very much synergy between Russian Helicopters (part of Rostec) and the UAC and it will only increase year after year due to optimization and producing capacities,” Manturov said.

Rostec CEO Sergei Chemezov earlier said that UAC can become part of Rostec.

Manturov separately said that the defense assets of Tractor Plants will be merged with railway equipment and tank maker Uralvagonzavod (UVZ) and managed by Rostec.
